I haven't seen or heard of that to be honest. Can you link where you got it from?

Brandishing a meat-cleaver, yelling "Allah Akbar, I'm going to kill you all" = getting over-excited.

Well reports differ. Hard to find any confirmation that he attacked anyone. There's footage of police turning up and arresting him. Sounds likely that it's not much of an incident at all. Possibly the same with the Stamford Hill thing. Obviously with the heightened tension it's easy for some to get over-excited with rumours. Maybe there's more to it, but it seems unlikely.

Totally agree with you Goose, the term is a peverse use of language and makes no more sense than 'Homophobia'

"The Paddington thing was 'not terror related' according to the police. "

That's fine then. He probably really WAS looking for Alan's Snackbar. The huge steel gate he was holding above his head was just to attract the policeman's attention so he could ask for directions.

I'm looking out to see if the police are organising a shoe-horn amnesty soon as I own two of the nasty little fuckers and don't want them falling into the wrong hands.

Re: Islamaphobic attack?
as an aside, Tommy Robinson pointed out yesterday that Islamaphobia isnt actually a 'thing'.

a phobia is an irrational fear, my fear of being blown up or beheaded is in no way irrational.

Is a new multi purpose tool the police were issued with, acts as baton, tazer, shoe horn and nail clippers.

Seems to be a bit of a news black-out on this for some reason.

From what I can see there were two incidents in the area, one in late afternoon/early evening - the photo in the JC seems to show a young black man waving a meat cleaver around shouting "Allah Allah! I'm going to kill you all!" and another shows a large crowd of armed youths being held back by a line of police.

See what you can find and post it up mate, the bbc are not reporting this stuff. Nothing on BBC about the bloke who attacked the copper at Paddington with a steel gate and tried to kill him whilst shouting "Alan's Snackbar etc", there's loads of it.

However the shoe-horn incident where nobody was injured made the bbc homepage.

Makes you wonder.

Newspapers almost always have dissenting staff. The Torygraph had Dan Hodges for years, have the appalling Cathy Newman now and a whole host of leftie WIMMEN contributors.

And sacking an employee for their political views is illegal, I believe, though obviously I don't know the terms of her contract.

I seem to recall a poster on here threatening to remove somebody's eyes with a tea spoon.

The shoe-horn seems to be a development on this theme.
